About Long Distance Learning.

The long- distance learning) is aimed at supporting students who cannot study on campus due to geographical distance or because they have work commitments that cannot allow the same.

Long –distance students are supported through regular provisions of printed notes /books, specimen papers, revision guides, etc. These are usually provided through postal, e-mail/ Internet mounts and personal collections. Clarifications / consultations may be through the same channels OR also through telephone conversations.

As a control measure, all students sit for Continuous Assessment Tests (CATS) every end of the month at any of our centers. A schedule of dates is provided in advance to enable students make adequate arrangements to attend. Results and answer/marking schemes are sent back to the student within two weeks. CATs may be posted to students who are far away.

Where the course is assessed through assignment- based work projects, the same are provided as soon as they are received from Cambridge.

Main exams are time- tabled (a copy of which is provided for the whole year) and candidates sit for exams at our Exams Centre in Nairobi. Exams from Cambridge are done during May or October of any year.

The long- distance students usually start their study sessions three weeks earlier than the on- campus students.

Our research shows that long –distance students perform at par or sometimes better than on-Campus students (within their inherent abilities).

Most courses require a practical approach to studies. Students are expected to be placed on attachments with potential organizations where they will draw facts to accomplish the requirements of their projects. Students are encouraged to choose their own organizations and we will support them by directly communicating with the organizations.

At the time of registration, you will be provided with all your learning kits.
