“ON CAMPUS” LEARNING
(ALSO GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ALL STUDENTS)
The “on-campus” students are those who attend regular lecturer-guided lessons at any of our campuses.
Once registered, students are provided with:
- notes to read in advance of lessons
- Comprehensive schemes of work showing what to cover and when
- A copy of the full syllabus
- Sample of specimen papers
- Schedule of assignments, cats, Exam Timetable
There are several assignments (depending on the course) and Continuous Assessment Tests every end of month, which provide controlled assessment. There are four assignment in one month.
Main exams are done as time-tabled (a copy of which is provided) at our Examination Centre.
In some courses like computing, there are practical modules that require a student to conduct a project and submit for assessment. Students are expected to use their spare time to accomplish requirements of assignments and projects during this spare time. Such include industrial attachments.
There are consultation sessions with lectures. Students are encouraged to make productive use of these sessions.
Books are provided to the students at the discretion of the lecturer. Our policy is that a lecturer must provide comprehensive and concise notes to students.
Most courses require a practical approach. Students are expected to be placed on attachments with potential organizations where they will draw facts to accomplish the requirements of their projects. Students are encouraged to choose their own organizations and we will support them by directly communicating with the organizations. |
