DALC LAUNCHES INTERNET TELEVISION AND RADIO As many believe, keeping pace with technology is the biggest challenge but despite this; there are many advantages from doing just that. The Digital Advisory and Learning Centre (DALC Education) is extending its horizons with the launch of a new internet television that is set to rock the education sector. The institute that started in 2003 has through the years made remarkable steps in the sector of Information and Communication Technology to facilitate the institute’s teaching and learning experience. This has as a result made the process more conducive and effective. Unlike most institutions, the learning process at DALC is mainly online where notes and examinations are downloaded by students and then marked after being sent to respective lecturers online, who also mark online and relay results also online! The DALC TV is intended to run on 24hours basis and can be accessed through the internet via DALC Education website www.dalconline.co.ke The main aim of starting the television is to amongst other things; introduce new and modern approaches of education, educate the populace on gifted education and to offer solutions to problems and challenges facing the current educational system. The programs aired in the television include; educational talks, class lectures, messages from the DALC administration, entertainment and many more activities carried out in the institution. Ever been in class and asked the teacher a question and received a reply that you did not again understand? Ever though of how embarrassing it would be to ask again? How about missing a class and wishing that you would get the tutor to teach you again? You can have the class in your office or in your house. The programs are produced by a group of professionals that have sacrificed their time and potency to see the unveiling of a dream come true. As an institution whose aim is to set the pace for others to follow, it is only our desire to even do more in regards to the field of information and communication technology. DALC Education has set a completely new agenda for education in Africa. |
